As the Carolina Panthers rebuild the offense around second-year quarterback Bryce Young, the team's offensive coordinator recently revealed he has no worries about Young's ability.

Brad Idzik, entering his first year as offensive coordinator, spoke with reporters Tuesday. During that time, he praised Young for being exactly what NFL teams want at the quarterback position.

“A winner,” Idzik said of Young. "He finds a way to win. His arm talent is phenomenal. He makes great, professional throws all over the field."

All throughout the 2024 season, the Panthers will be looking for Young to show signs of improvement.

During the 2023 season, which started poorly, Young found some success during the heart of the year.

He often succeeded when the Panthers were in a two-minute offense or a hurry-up scheme. Those situations brought forth what he was best at during his time at Alabama: Creating plays on the fly with his arm.

That is exactly what Idzik wants to see as Young steps into his second season as the starting quarterback. He wants Young to be entirely himself under center.

"He’s a winner, and that’s something you can’t truly quantify all the time," Idzik said. "We’re really excited to have him here. We’re really excited to watch him progress this offseason alongside his teammates.”
