Both Emmet Sheehan and Alex Vesia went on Instagram to thank Dodger fans for their support. Both pitched relatively well in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

“Impossible to put this season into words," Sheehan said. "Extremely grateful for everyone part of this journey and to the Dodger organization and fans that made this possible!”

Sheehan relieved an ineffective Clayton Kershaw in Game 1. While the rookie allowed three runs, he hurled 3.2 innings, and this helped to save the rest of the Dodger bullpen.

As for Vesia:

“Just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to the Dodger nation fans who supported me throughout this season! Looking forward to getting after it this off season to make a big push for the 2024 season.”

The 2023 season was an up-and-down experience for Vesia who is eligible for arbitration for the first time. He had difficulty adjusting to the pitch clock and spent some time in Oklahoma City to learn how to relax with it. In July and August, the Dodgers didn’t have a better reliever than Vesia.

Both Sheehan and Vesia figure in the Dodger future plans. Dodger fans like Vesia since he shows passion on the mound, making him a fan favorite. Dave Roberts said that Sheehan has the most explosive fastball on the 2023 major league roster. Hopefully, the Dodgers will give Sheehan the opportunity to start every fifth day next season.
